"Climbing" Driskill Mountain

Ahhhh. To be a burgeoning mountaineer hailing from the great state of Louisiana. Hayes and I were in Shreveport for the state soccer finals. We decided to head over to Arcadia and make our first highpoint hike.

The trail-head is unassuming, but easy to access and welcoming (considering you are parking in a church lot).

The twenty or so minute hike gradually circles the 'mountain' with a couple of steep sections and before you know it, you are there. The forested peak is hard to note as a visual highpoint, but still very nice. We followed the trail a hundred more yards and there is a nice vista that looks to Jones Mountain. That gives a bit better vantage point as to where we were.

We signed the log (third ones there this day) and headed down. Drove home to Mandeville in one full day.

Highpoint 1 down, 49 to go.
