Ahhhh....the memoriesI love this capture. Back around Labor day in 2010 I climbed Powell but didn't see Duck Lake from the summit. Later that day we descended to Duck Lake and bushwhacked down the Black Creek drainage...one of the worst things I've ever done! Duck Lake was stunning though.

Re: Ahhhh....the memoriesWow. I can't believe you actually made it down Black Creek. Did you do an "up and over" from Piney Lake? Sounds like a good Tour de Gore.

Re: Ahhhh....the memoriesYep...we started from Piney Lake, climbed up and over Game Pass to make an attempt on Eagles Nest but weather turned us back. We made it to the Eagles Nest/Powell saddle. Camped just below Kneeknocker Pass and climbed over and up Powell the next day and down the Black Creek drainage passing Duck Lake. I have a good TR on it if you're interested! Fantastic trip indeed.
