Dyneema Tricam Set

Dyneema Tricam Set

I bought a set of tricams right before my Prusik Peak climb. I used all of them on the climb. In addition to their utility as pro (they work where a nut or a cam won't) I also really appreciated how light weight they were.

I like mine

I am a new trad climber, but I have been using my set of tricams a fair bit, especially in basalt. Lots of pockets and such where the tricam seems to work quite well.

I am curious about the new ones, the 'Evo' I think it is called?

Re: I like mine

I looked at the Tricam Evo and that third placement option is compelling. However, I ended up buying the Dyneema Tricam set instead because I thought the color anodized cams would be easier to differentiate than the all silver Evos. When you're trying to place gear quickly anything that saves time makes a difference.

I didn't realize that the Evos don't have the anodized colors. I agree, that is a minus.
