This photo I took at about ten to seven in the morning from just outside the village of Gohrisch. The Lilienstein is rising out of the early morning fog covering the Elbe valley.

You've chosen a very good period - now that all of the summer vacationers have gone home, it should be a lot more quiet...Don't miss out on going up the "Steine" really early in the morning - you could take some incredible sunrise-plus-fog pictures - I've seen so many calendar pictures taken at sunrise and in autumn from Schrammsteine, Gamrig, Winterberg etc. that absolutely took my breath away!!!
