East Ridge Direct Direct

Paul Gagner and I climbed this "direct" start to the east ridge of Bancroft on January 4, 2009. We did three long pitches (a bit of simul-climbing on two of the three) on solid rock, snow, and frozen turf. The climbing was moderate mixed; each pitch had a crux a bit harder than the 5.2 step on the normal route. This makes a nice addition for those who want to add more technical challenge to the route.
