| This peak was easy-going. Eric, Fletcher, Rob, Sergey, and I hiked up the snowy forested NE ridge slopes southward until reaching the east ridgetop at ~5000' elevation. This was a very straightforward approach that saved *a lot* of time and miles, rather than following the east ridge in its entirety (as this route page implies).
From there, it looked like *a lot* of snowshoers and/or cross-country skiers had been following the ridgetop to the summit. The summit has great views, especially ofthe Chiwaukums, Jim Hill Mountain, and the Rock/Mastiff/Howard conglomerate. Highly recommended peak! |
