Echo Col

Echo Col from the John Muir Trail side. Echo Col (class 3) is the notch directly above George. From this side of the pass, look for the black rock on the left (north) side of the ridge. Climb the notch on the left side of the black rock. It is best to tag-team your way up the notch, handing off packs as you go.
