Four rattlers, two ticks, and mild dehydration (followed aggressive beer hydration back at the car)...glad I left Roxy at home. First time there and at the Columns, it was pretty cool. I want to go back when it's not so hot and get on some of the lines we couldn't fit in. Learned that when the guide book says "Gear to 2.5 inches" it means bring every number 4 you can muster.

On the first route we did, Mush Maker, but seemed to be a theme. Did more off-widths that weekend than I think I've done in my life.

hehehe ...reminds me of this one pitch in arches (argon tower). Desert Select book said "70 feet of perfect hands splitter, 5.9"...should've checked the Rock Climbing UT book instead as the pitch was indeed splitter and indeed 70 feet...except it was 70 feet of #4 camalot and rated 5.11 :)
