Emergency helipad just below the Milchseescharte, with a cloudy Lodner in the background

Although the hiking trail leading over the Milchseescharte is difficult, especially on the south side, I find it hard to believe that that's the reason for this pad. More likely it was constructed because of its proximity to the Guido Lammer shelter, a small, unmanned bivvy hut. 3 August 2012.
