This is one of the "best" pages (in multiple respects) I've had the pleasure of reading on SummitPost. I've flown over the Gorge and Goddard Canyon, and even from the air they're one of the most evocative and memorable corners of the Sierra, but now I'm motivated to go and pay it an up-close visit someday.
