Great views of the hill country and solid granite climbing. There is also a small cave near the top if you can locate it - nothing spectucular really just some crawling around in granite fissures if memory serves. I also believe there is a plaque on the way up to signify the location of an old gunfight between the military and local Native Americans. Top it off with a Shiner Bock in Fredicksburg.

Kim and I did this walk with my parents. Some interesting views (for Texas) and very clean pink granite. When I was in college at Rice, a lot of people would climb here.
First climbed E-Rock on my dad's shoulders when I was about 2 years old. Several years later, I cut my teeth on the many climbs on the backside of the main dome. Just today, I summitted with my 1.5 year old on my shoulders.
