Loop of PT 12671, Rito Alto, Hermit and Eureka from 9600' (just below lower Rainbow TH) on the Hermit Pass Road. Great loop of peaks, 4x4 could start much higher if you wanted to, Horseshoe Lake would work well as a "trailhead" for this group.

Erin and I climbed Rito Alto Peak, Hermit Peak, and Eureka Mountain from a high camp near Hermit Pass on Labor Day.

Eureka Mountain is a sweet little jewel of Crestone Conglomerate. I enjoyed this mountain immensly. The huge flat plateau just north of the summit is the coolest little park I have ever seen.
