Fighting slippery foliage we made it to the top by following the old trail that disappears and the ridge line....looked for a climber's log and/or USGS marker with none to be found near the highest point....then to Top Lake where we soaked in serene meadows and had a Freedom run...hit Shoofly on the way back to the trailhead....very easy summit on that one
I summited Fall Mountain shortly after summiting Shoofly Mountain (located to the east). The summit had better views than I expected, and was a good palce to have a snack. It did not look like any people had been there in a very long time, as I found no traces or footprints from anyone. It was nice to visit a semi-secluded summit so close to a popular trail and area.
