Feb 21, 2003. Yes, that's Shasta behind us, shrouded by clouds, but this photo is more about our Summit Post Team. Here I am in California, climbing a mountain with four guys I had never met before. l to r: Abe (summitman), Dirk (diggler), Daniel (dankras), me (Peak Freak), and John (John). SummitPost, a few e-mails and a couple of phone calls brought us all together for a fabulous adventure. Pretty cool for a website to enable that to happen.

It's just a prop for the photo ;-) It was some litter that was left over from the previous night we forgot to throw out.
