Female Flowers of European Larch
Larch Trees (Larix decidua) are very common in all of the Low Beskid. They have a high tolerance for cold temperatures and their seeds are an important food source for many species of birds.
Both male and female flowers develop on the same tree in spring along with new bright green foliage. Female flowers are bright red and turn green with age. Smaller, male flowers are round and yellow.
