| Camped under Konkordia hut on the glacier for a week to climb several 4000rs. The only successfull summit due to wind, snow, rain whole week...still the Konkordia is the one of the most amazing places in the ALps. | ||

| marc123 | Long snow plod ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 18, 2007 | |
| From the Monchsjochhutt we ventured to the Gross Fiescherhorn over the normal route. Due to heavy snowfall in the previous week and above freezing temperatures it was a long and tiring snow plod. However the view from the top on the surrounding mountains was great. | ||

| Long walk from the Finsteraarhornhut, with Helmut, Ernesto and Volkert, 3 climbers I met in the Konkordiahut earlier. We used a rope on the heavily crevassed glacier, but climbed the SE-ridge of Gross Fiescherhorn from the Fieschersattel free. Next Volkert and I climbed the Hinter Fiescherhorn as well, via the NE-wall. Same route back to the Finsteraarhornhut. Total +/- 15 km. | ||

| schulzj | A great traverse ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 19, 2009 | |
| We set off from our tent near the Moenchsjochhuette. The lower sections of the NE-ridge were trickier than we expected, but the descent to the Fieschersattel and ascent of the Hinter Fiescherhorn were straightforward. A long tedious slog back across the Ewigschneefeld. | ||

| Long glacier walk to the bottom of the Hinteres Fiescherhorn. Then a nice, but never too steep/difficult climb up to the Grunhornlucke. The rock was easy and loose at the start but improved quickly. | ||

| Samuli Mansikka | Traverse from Klein Grünhornlücke ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 20, 2006 | |
| After summitting Gross Grünhorn earlier in the morning I downclimbed to Klein Grünhornlücke, the saddle in between Klein Grünhorn/Gross Grünhorn and Hinter Fiescherhorn. From the saddle I climbed the easy rocky ridge up the Hinter Fiescherhorn. The climb was uneventful but enjoyable. From the summit of the Hinter Fiescherhorn I continued to the direction of the Gross Fiescherhorn. The bergschrund was badly caped making it quite difficult to find a place to cross it solo. I had to follow the bergschrund relatively far. From there I took the most direct line up the steep rocky face towards the top of the ridge which I reached very close to the summit. Summitted and continued down the normal route towards the Mönchjochhütte. I was very pleased to my achievement of the day; Three 4000-meter summits in a single day making it in only 10,5 hours. Oh yeah, solo! Photos: www.samulimansikka.com | ||

| Koen | Route Climbed: Fiescher Sattel from Ewigscheefeld Date Climbed: Jul 19, 2006 | |
| Stayed at the very nice Bergli hut. Climbed up to Fiescher saddle via the so called 'normal' route from Ewigschneefeld. This is not advisable due to much loose rock (time of year, temp too high) on the last part underneath the saddle. Turned back some 60m underneath the summit (route-finding problem + prospect of having to descend the same (or other) way). The NW ridge seems a better option + I won't come back unless on skis... I hate snow kicking... | ||

| Nice mountain. Incredibly good day out. Decent thick powder on the descent. Why you wouldn't do it on skis astounds me. Hurricane force winds and white out conditions forced us to take the very expensive Jungfraujoch railway down rather than risk a long blind walk down the glaciar... be careful not to get "stuck" or allow enough time/food/money if you do! | ||

| We started at the Mönchsjochütte and traversed the Gross Fiescherhorn. Ascend over NW ridge and descend over SE ridge to Fieschersattel. Then descend to Finsteraarhornhütte. There was a lot of snow on NW ridge (AD) and hard, cold wind tried to blow us of the ridge. Nice exposed climb. | ||

| Mathias Zehring | Route Climbed: normal routes Date Climbed: 1995 - 2001 ![]() | |
| 1) July 26th 1995 Gross-Fiescherhorn: As a daytrip from Finsteraarhorn hut. The ascent through the seracs of the Fiescher glacier was impressive. Above that it was a long walking until the final ridge was reached. Thist ridge could be done without crampons, but we stayed on the rope. Most impressive is the view to the Finsterarhorn 2) May 24th 2001 Hinter-Fiescherhorn: On out traverse through the Bernese Alps we climbed Fieschersattel pass from Konkordia hut which was very steep and had a bergshrund. Weather developped worse but we climbed Hinter-Fiescherhorn in the clouds, with almost no sight. Thank god there were ski tracks on the glacier that we could follow. The downhill through the seracs was more easy than I had expected from my summer trip. We reached Finsteraarhorn hut and stayed there two more days. | ||

| Climbed with US friend and Canadian guide. Superb views down the Fiescherwand and of Eiger (south face) plus other Oberland Greats (Finsteraarhorn). Lots of new snow with wind-slab. Some avalanche, including one major-pucker moment. Complete solitude. | ||

| From the Mönchjochhütte. You traverse out into the north face just before reaching the summit. Big air and major pucker. Traversed over to the Hinterfiescherhorn before descending to the Ewigschneefeld and back to the Mönchsjochhütte. Did the East Face of the Mönch the following day. Watching the sun rise was one of the most beautiful mornings I have had the pleasure to experience! | ||
