Finger Lake

I took the trail to Brainerd Lake but wasn't sure how to acess Finger Lake. Out of patience but armed with an excellent sense of direction (and probably subconsciously wanting to get lost) I climbed a ridge and then followed the sound of water to Big Pine Creek. After climbing the slippery canyon (this isn't too easy - you'll run out of room and have to cross over the creek several times and/or do some class 3) I was treated to this sight of Finger Lake!

Creek Climbing

I was just up here a few days ago and came up the creek. I really enjoy hiking up rocky creek beds. I love the sound of the water and the coolness. There were plenty of fun boulder move and hand traverses on the way up. I went down closer to Brainard.
