First view of Palisade...
First view of Palisade Glacier on the approach from Sam Mack Meadows. Mt. Sill is the big one on the left. Glacier Notch is the left of the two snow couloirs at the base of Mt. Sill, behind the ridge in the foreground. Above the notch the thin strip of snow on Mt. Sill is the north couloir. Polemonium Peak, V and U notches, North Palisade, and Thunderbolt Peak are to the right of Mount Sill. July 2004.
