Fish tail

Machchapuchre or fish tail with 6993m elevation , is at the end of a long spur ridge, coming south out of the main backbone of the Annapurna Himal, that forms the eastern boundary of the Annapurna Sanctuary. this holy peak has never been climbed to its summit,the mountain has been declared sacred, and it is now forbidden to climbers. the name meaning "Fish's Tail" in Nepali language It is also nicknamed the "Matterhorn of Nepal".

The lines... the history... the fact that it remains unclimbed... all add up to a cachet that few peaks in the world can approach.

Thanks to you dear for this such a beautiful compliment, I agree with u and as my opinion would be more nice even the other beautiful high peaks could remain unclimbed ,unfortunately these days they sound more commercial and their natures and pure beauties are going to fade.

Indeed ! is one of the most mysterious peaks and still is not allowed to climb

If it's allowed to be climbed, it's gonna be very difficult for sure.

I think so ! The only attempt was in 1957 by a British team that climbed to within 50 m of the summit via the north ridge, but did not complete the ascent; they had promised not to set foot on the actual summit. Since then, the mountain has been declared sacred, and it is now forbidden to climbers
