Flagpole Needles, from the top of Little Annapurna. The flagpole is in the center of this pic and appears to the right of the summit ridgeline of Pennant Peak (centered). It looks like a little finger angling to the right but it is one of the fun challenges of this area. The flagpole was first climbed by none other than Fred Becky and Pete Schoening back in 1950. Hasn't voted | Thank you for your comment and vote. This is a neat view, looking down on this stuff from the summit of Little Annapurna. | | Posted Apr 9, 2006 1:14 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Flagpole is in Nelson and Potterfield's Select Cascade Climbs book. What a cool-looking spire!! Thanks for posting Dean. | | Posted Apr 25, 2006 11:41 pm |

Hasn't voted | I'll check that out. Maybe there is some info in their book I can refer to. Beckey has it covered in his Cascade Alpine Guide. Thanks Radek. | | Posted Apr 26, 2006 12:20 am |
