"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."

Untitled CommentI don't need to wait until you have this one finished, it is 4 stars already.
I was surprised to see this one as it is on my tick list and I'm hoping to do it on my next trip down so you addition of this one is very timely. I look forward to your route info and more of your pics. ( How close can I get at this time of year?) Way to go, I love those Utah prominence peaks.

Untitled CommentThanks for the excellent vote Dean!
This was one I planned to do last year but it slipped through the cracks. This is a really nice peak, easy but with excellent views. The road into Oak Creek Canyon was still gated shut for the season, so we had to walk an addition 2 miles each way - ended up being 12-miles R/T, but it was such a nice day we didn't mind. I'll try to get my route description posted in the next day or two.

Fool/Fool Creek/Scipio Peak is a peak I really like, and despite its low elevation is impressive.
One of the things I like about the peak is how different it looks from different directions. From Delta is looks like a rounded and gentle dome. From the north it looks like a sharp pointy peak. From the south it looks like an asymetrical knob with a steep drop to the east. From the east it has a huge vertical face. It is a peak of contrast.

Untitled CommentWhat a beauty! It seems you made good use of a pol filter on some of the pics. But I may be mistaken ...
