Had the opportunity to explore Fort Williams, climb Ben Nevis and check out Skye. Had great weather almost the whole time. The midges weren't too bad either. They went after my friend, I guess he's sweeter than I am.
I can't wait to come back to try the mountain biking.

1972 visit
Paid a visit in 1972 backpacking through Scotland. I remember the tiny flies that would eat you alive, a monastry, fog rain but not much else.

Fort WilliamA nice little town with convenient bus/train stations and grocery store. The trailhead for Ben Nevis is within walking distance.

Re: 1972 visitThey're called "Midges" William, and if it weren't for them, the place would be more overrun by tourists during high season than it already is... :P
Cheers, Clint.
