This photo was taken 3-8-08. There were only a few climable routes 'in' that were safe. Most routes were non-existent. Bob's Delight had no ice on it at all. We were among the 4 climbers we saw here on Saturday. With all the rain and warm temps Friday and Saturday we were hoping that there would be enough of a drop overnight Sunday to stabilize some routes but there was only 3 routes in that could be seen from 302-(Standard Route being one of them)

Standard Route

That's me leading the first pitch in the lower part of the photo. Where were you standing to shoot this? Great overview of the whole route, including the upper pitches which aren't visible from the base.

It was taken form the pull off right on Rte 302. Thats funny I had no idea that was you up there!!! You can use this for the page you did if you want.

I made it the signature photo for the route. I might also mark it up and use it in a trip report.

Sure no problem. Hey great work on getting the Frankenstein page going. I couldnt believe it when I looked it up here and couldn't find it anywhere. Give me a shout if you want to head up and do some ice-I have a cabin 12 minutes or so from Frankenstein.
