Well, now the 2007 page has 56 votes; I don't know how I missed it before. I had already seen your 2008 one and liked it very much. And your point about the page is well taken; it could let me express what I really love about the mountains that I love without giving away all the secrets or the numbing details. It could work very well for the Montana trip I have planned for this summer.
And thank you very much for your generous remarks. I find your pages among the most inspiring on SP (Clark Peak is still my favorite here, I think), so it means a lot to know that you appreciate mine.
Thank you for the kind remarks. I don't know if the kids think it's so fun during a grammar lesson, but I try the rest of the time. I see you're a teacher, too-- great! Of course, I like the sound of that other occupation you list a little bit better!
Thanks for sharing this well written article. I'm sure it expresses many of the same sentiments that many of us feel. I enjoy hiking in the mountains by myself, sitting on a lonely peak gazing out into the void and enjoying the beauty, the quiet, the solitude and the peacefulness. Yet I also enjoy being in the mountains with people who share those same feelings, and to share what we just experienced.
Thanks for reading, and thanks for the kind remarks. There's a lot of great stuff on this site, and I hope you'll enjoy exploring it. Just be aware that it can be addictive...
