A very wet day with Richard Perry but the views were opened up for us when we hit the tops.

A great day
I walked this route on December 29th 2008. It was during a very cold spell in North Wales when the ground and any water lying on it was frozen solid. I set out in the dark with my head torch, and finished in the dark with my head torch, but in between enjoyed a fabulous day's walking in the mountains. I had set myself a turn around time of 1 pm and no way did I expect to get all the way to Carnedd Llewellyn, (I am very slow walking uphill!), but I arrived there at 12.58! So enjoyed 2 minutes on the summit before slowly heading back across the Carneddau. This whole part of Snowdonia is fabulous walking and often far less busy than the nearby Snowdon range of mountains.
