From Middle Paint Rock
Hiked up the Middle Paint Rock from Battle Park in mid June 2015. The pass, I think locally known as Three Sisters Pass (on account of the three lakes near and at the top), yielded incredible views of Cloud Peak and surrounding mountains. I recommend this approach; as compared to Tensleep, it is shorter and while it has more vert, the views are much better.
