From the Fenetre de Ferret: on the foreground, the Grandes Jorasses (4208m.), with the E face and, on the right in the shadow, the precipices of the North wall.
On the background, the Peuterey ridge: mournful Aiguille Noire (3772m.), the slender Aiguille Blanche (4112m. - the most difficult indipendent 4000s of the Alps), and the Mt. Blanc of Courmayeur (4748m.), MB southern summit in Italian territory.
Under MB summit are well visible the three Freney pillars.
