Hasn't voted	Is it possible to summit this peak without climbing gear? In other words can you backpack to the top with just backpacking/hiking gear?

	Hasn't voted	Yes, Dix Mountain has a hiking trail to the top. In fact, all the Adirondack 46er peaks are non-technical when taking their easiest routes. 20 of the 46 peaks do not have maintained trails but rather have un-maintained herd paths(created by human and animal users).
