Gable Mountain

Gable Mountain

Back-center is Gable Mountain (9262'—actual summit is the further right of the two), from the ridge above the Ptarmigan Tunnel, which is the access route to the Ptarmigan Tunnel to Ahern Pass Goat Trail; rather than going through the tunnel, the ridge immediately above is climbed. The view seen here is from that vantage point, looking north and east (to your right as you face north). At this point the magnificent spectacle of Natoas, Merritt, Ipasha, and Ahern is around to the west (left, from where you are standing), and not yet in sight. Dominating the right side of the image, in front of Gable, is Seward Mountain (8917'). Photo by Vernon, July 20, 2005.

Re: Seward Mountain

Thanks for the info! I've incorporated it into the image text.
