Route Climbed: Mikro Papigo - Drakolimni - Gamila Date Climbed: 1st June 2004
A beautiful route which covers all kind of scenery: pine woods, alpine meadows and to top it all a beautiful alpine lake!!!
The climb to Drakolimni is not too difficult and takes a maximum of six hours. There is plenty of camping space on the meadow below the lake (roughly 1 hour away ) and even at the lake. I thoroughly recommend a swim in the summer months (if you can stand very cold water!!!).
The climb to Gamila from Drakolimni takes roughly 2 1/2 hours and is not too arduous.
