thanks, but the route is as stated in the post; backpackers trail to garden creek and then follow the creek up. if there was a trail beyond "follow the creek up", i would have said so. however, its just a shale slide. furthermore, i figured that every hike involves so extent of red tape. some on the other hand is selfexplanitory such as "careful not to sprain an ankle" or "don't fall off a cliff". i guess in leaving such information out i underesamated some SP'ers better judgement. so since i've found i'm out of my league for blogging, i think i'll just stick to climbing.
