Geissberg/Kozjak from the E

This is the view on Geissberg/Kozjak from the east, from the summit of Rjautza/Rjavica. Below is Bodental/Poden, from where a good path (below a cart-road) ascends towards Ogrisalm / Vgrizeva planina. Before reaching it, one branch goes left across the east ridge of Gaissberg/Kozjak and further on to Klagenfurteh Huette. If you go below the NE walls of Gaissberg/Kozjak, crossing the scree slopes, behind a distinct rib you will find a couloir, which enables you to gain the E ridge quite high. Below the ridge some easy climbing is needed. That tour is best in late spring or very early summer. October, 2009.
