Holy Crap!

Thats alot of snow on that peak! It's so windy up there, doesn't the wind keep the summit pretty bare? I don't think I ever seen a picture of the Uintas in the winter with that much so.

I went back 11 days later and this time it was pretty clear and so had good views over to Kings and it didn't look like it had a bare spot on it. Both times I skied up Gilbert, on the May 14th and 25th, I was able to keep the skis on all the way to the top. I suspect that is unusual because when MOCKBA et al did it a prior year in April, they had to take their skis off and he said it was a high snow year.
