Gletschhorn South Ridge

Gletschhorn South Ridge

Beautiful climbing on the Gletschhorn South Ridge. A classic ridge climb on very solid granite. Picture: Catho. Uri Alps Group - July 2009

Right on....

Looks like it must have been a blast. Way to get out there and get it done.

Re: Right on....

The climbing was awesome! Although it was not the best day in the mountain, because the weather turned out to be pretty bad.

Re: Jurgen

Thanks Rob. I'm only 'posing' on this picture. The rock in the entire Uri Alps Group is spectacular. The best steep granite you can imagine.

Cheers, Jurgen

Wow looks beautiful!

I love ridges and traverses. You usually move alot faster and stay warmer than on harder steeper routes.Climbersthat limit themselves to only hard route don't know what they are missing. Cheers!

Re: Wow looks beautiful!

Thanks for your comment, its so true. I'm not in the mountains to hang on a belay for hours. Most important for me is to switch between al kinds of climbing routes now and then. Cheers.
