I really enjoyed your TR so much because I love to see anything written about the northern Winds which you just don't hear too much about. I bet you did not see many people up there. Your photos are a real treat to look at. Great report !!!
We carried way too much. Half my pack weight was food. When I weighed all the food prior to heading out we each had 22 pounds of it. We really only needed half that. I had bagged pasta, mashed potatoes, gravy, bagels, pudding, crackers etc. No mountain house type foods.
Loved the trip report and special imagery! The Winds have got to be one of the relatively unknown gems of the West. My daughter and I spent some time in the Winds a few years back (while using Dubois as our base) and the light is as good as it gets.
I sure hope that you (and I!) get back there one day soon...nice work!
Hmm, 22 miles round trip? Definitely not possible to be that short unfortunately. I would guess it can be reached in 30 miles round trip though via a route from Green River Lakes TH

Question on baker lakeIs there a quicker way to get to baker lake i really would like to visit it but i want to keep it under 22 miles ish
