Gordon at the base of the North Arete route (standard start) of Matterhorn Peak- one can go up blocky class 4 at this point, or go slightly L of the picture to get to slightly easier terrain which leads to an upward-angling exposed ledge system; after this one aims for the prominent notch- 8-8-2004
