Gorski kotar - underground

Significant part of Gk is made of clastites of younger Paleozoic. However, there are large parts of porous and soft limestone, a friendly environment for numerous pits and caves. Two longest caves/pits of Gorski Kotar are Ponor Vele vode/Crni Lug, 1.495 m and Hajdova hiža/Guce selo, 1.188 m (picture taken with APS point-and-shoot, sorry for image quality)
