| Climbed from Church Fork this afternoon. Took the wrong trail down from the peak and had to bushwhack (in shorts) back to the correct trail. After getting all the crap out of my boots, had a nice run back to the car. 1 hour 45 min up, 1 hour 10 min down. Great views of Salt Lake and of the other beautiful mountains nearby! | |

| Not a bad snowshoeing day. Some parts of the trail were pretty narrow and I occasionally got tripped up on some scrub. Once it opened up, though, snowshoes were definitely good to have. | |

| Left the parking lot for the West Slopes at 545pm. Made it to the summit at 7:30. Arrived back at the car at 820pm. A great hike! | |

| In preperation for a trip to Rainier in a few months, we decided to shake the dust off of our Koflach's with a winter climb of Grandeur Peak. We encountered two large groups of elk, coyote tracks, and waist-deep snow in parts. It was an awesome trip and a pleasant beginning to the 2008 climbing season. | |

| I grew up looking up at these peaks... amazingly never did this hike until today. ~5 hour roundtrip from Church Fork picnic area - including a nice long break for lunch and views at the top. Very nice climb with my sons and niece. | |
