Better View  Sucess!

Started from Trapper Creek and then took the west ridge off the summit and then down the large bench back to Trapper Creek. Much better views of the East Pioneers than from Tweedy Mountain in my opinion.

East bowl from Cherry Lake  Sucess!

A most excellent hike! A little bit annoying to be on an ATV trail up to the lakes. Heard the FWP poisoned all the fish out of Cherry Lake a couple years ago so they could replace 'em with native cutthroats. I didn't bother trying to catch anything - maybe next time. The upper drainage above Green Lake is very beautiful! Saw a herd of goats up in there, too. This mountain may have the best views in the Pioneers!

Trapper Creek route  Sucess!

Climbed from Trapper Creek up the north ridge in about a foot of snow. Parked on the road and hiked in from above an old sheet metal building. Tooks me about 5 hours round trip. Found an old 100+ ft vertical mine shaft on the way back.
also Climbed it when I was 8 from Cherry Lake up a large snowfield that was there at the time it is gone now.
