BKiser90Recovery Trip  Sucess!

I was recovering from mono when we went to Great Basin so unfortunately I didn't make it up Wheeler. Still enjoyed the high alpine lakes, bristlecones, Lehman Caves and Creek.

I saved the cave for a return trip with the GF. The Border Inn had shower and laundry facilities in Baker, Nevada for very reasonable rates, plus a restaurant for dinner. The nearby Baker Archaeological site was also worth checking out.

Camped at 10000 feet in Wheeler Campground. Climbed Wheeler Peak and hiked Bristlecone... nice, cool and green. Well worth the price of park admission (it is free!)

Camped with my grandpa and climbed Wheeler with my cousin. I was 9 Years old. Drove by the beast on my way to Utah- still as remarkable as I remember.
