Great Range from Big Slide

The Great Range as seen from the from the northern side of Big Slide on November 24th, 2006. From the right (South), the Great Range peaks are: Marcy, Haystack, Basin, Sadleback, Gothics, Armstrong, Upper Wolf-Jaw, Lower Wolf-Jaw, Hedgehog and Rooster Comb. This was the most stunning view I had ever come across in the Adirondacks. That evening, wolves howled as we descended the slabs on the Three Brothers by headlamp. It was otherworldly.
