We had an epic day completing this traverse from Roostercomb to Marcy.We probably spent about 10 hours hiking. We waited out a wicked, morning thunder and lightning storm before deciding to go for it. After finishing Marcy, we found two teenagers lost in the dark without headlamps or camping gear. We got them back to their shelter before finally heading back to camp to collapse for the night. An EPIC day!
Did a one-day southbound traverse from the LOJ to Roostercomb. A great work-out, with some outstanding views, though I wouldn't have complained about a little less mud and wet rock.
