Unusually clear from my understanding   Sucess!

Have driven up and over this range a couple of times. No one but the caretaker ranger and myself the last time through in April of 2013. Walked up Clingman's Dome, and got very clear views towards the west; on this day the mountains weren't very "smoky". Like a series of green ocean waves breaking in the distance.

Beautiful green, not many views  Sucess!

We drove through this huge area, stopping from place to place and summiting various peaks. Very touristy, with lost of people, mostly visitors rather than hikers. But again, it is a National Park.

So much to do....  Sucess!

There's a reason, so many people visit the Smokies. It never disappoints! Hiked up Mt Leconte, and to Clingman's Dome. Also did some smaller hikes to waterfalls and such. Unfortunately Chimney Tops was closed while we were there. Will definitely go back soon....

Well versed here  Sucess!

Instead of finding every peak/trail I've done, just claiming the whole thing...done all but 60~ miles of trails there...plus some off trail routes. Smokies are my home!

Very nice  Sucess!

I like this range, would like to explore it more although the lack of scrambling has me spending my time in other places.

Magical

Spent a week of so here hiking around various mountains, peering at rocks and running into various creatures. Even had a raccoon climb up me and sit on my head. What more can you ask for.

Great vacation!  Sucess!

This was another awesome kid-less vacation - camping in the national park and hiking several of the trails - I forget which we did. Spent about a week here. Would go back any time! I remember this was the place where I saw my first live bear among people - he was crossing a very popular parking lot - amazing to see him so close to humans!

This One Is Close To Home  Sucess!

Numerous hikes here. I always forget how rugged these mountains are. Although this is one of the most visited national parks, the crowds stay off most of the trails.

Hiked there several times

Spent two plus weeks hiking in 1980 and then again years later. The balds are beautiful when the rhodos are in bloom but watch when bushwhacking, these bushes can smack you to smithereens!
