Grintavec from Kalska gora

The giant roof of Grintavec, seen from Kalska gora (a side-summit in Kalski greben). Right below the hut on Kamnisko sedlo (saddle) is seen, and the two paths which ascend it from the two valleys. From the hut a joint path goes towards Vratca and Grintavec, but the path to Grintavec soon deters left. Then we can trace it all the way towards the left, until it reaches the roof, over which it ascends the top. By the right ridge the 'Dolge stene' ascent goes. September 23rd, 2006.

One question, please!
Ascent to Kalska gora, is it ferrata, regular trail or alpinist way?
Maybe next time, I visit this place... :)

Hi!

Just a little differentiation for the beginning: Kalški greben is the highest point of the mountain, Kalška gora is only the shoulder just above Kokrsko sedlo. So, on Kalški greben you can come from Kokrško sedlo or from the other, southern side. The approach from Kokrško sedlo has protected sections, but they are not hard. Just some care needed, but steep. Then in the ridge there's a short vertical drop, also protected and also not very hard (medium). On the southern side there are no difficulties, we do the skiing there.
