Grizzly track

This 9" grizzly track was only hours old when I came over this snowbank in the early morning on the approach to Mount Doane.

It is with a feeling of awe one see's this track. I just remember a set of mountain lion tracks...following mine... one afternoon in the Olympics. Must have been a thrill to see this.

	Hasn't voted	For sure! It was the first of dozens I saw that day; I ran into a huge adult male at very close range just two days after this, which was a very exciting experience!

When I climbed Avalanche last August, I saw a griz just before I began the hike (solo, like you). That bear didn't want anything to do with us (my son was with me at that point) and it headed off and away from us at a pretty good clip.
