Most of the Desolation Peak Trail is forested, so when we found this fantastic south-facing viewpoint it gave our team a great excuse to take a break (and some photos). Photo taken on June 12, 2010.

Aaah, yes, there on the left. A wonderful climb that was! Great pics, all. That's a wonderful part of the Cascades.
