Bushwhacking
Lots of bushwhacking to get to the summit marker but worth it on a picture perfect day. There were some obstructed views towards the southeast but the cherry on top was sighting a scarlet tanager near the summit.
Reaching the summit took about 1.5 hours from Fridley Gap with a much better view of Shenandoah Valley at an overlook about 0.4 miles to the north just off the Massanutten-South trail.

A good hike
It was a nice spring day. I missed the crossing of Fridley Run, and so I was wondering why the trail was so poorly maintained and had no blazes. I eventually turned back and found the right way up. After some experimentation, I found the faint trail up to the summit. I went as far as the overlook south of the summit. On the way back down, I had little trouble finding the trail. A nice spring day for a hike.
