Re: Wonderful!

That's incredible Claudio! Have you found a proper use for such a big picture? Or you had already had it before the photo was taken?
And how many days did it take your computer to stitch it? :-)
Regards,
Igor

Re: Wonderful!

Agree with you, almost incredible! Yesterday, the cropped and reduced version (167x117 cm) only have had an adequate use, the same (220307-54265716#cx) you can see here before this full version. It is now placed up, near cable railway of monte Lussari. At the moment I haven't so much time also to find the use of these GigaPixel photos, others will do for me, I hope.

I cannot say the time exactly because the computer for stitching use, normally go for more than one panoramic at time and I live it running for days. I have more than 40 external HardDisks with panoramics and Raw pictures, therefore I cannot remember it, but It could be about 2 days for this one, not so much. However a lot of work is made also with my blessed hands, Igor. Week of works after the partially automatic routine of the computer. Think also about that not so little difficulty for link all the frames with sky only.
I have another one, the summer version, still not posted, and is made with about 770 pictures...!!
Regards to you
Claudio.

Re: Wonderful!

Yeah, linking such a number of sky frames sounds like assembling a jigsaw puzzle of Black Square :-).
Actually, I tried to joke and couldn't imagine a computer really needs 'days' for that (I haven't stitch more than 20 snaps yet and I think each of them was smaller than yours). By the way, do you use PS or something more specialized for panorama assembling?
I'm sure every your wonderful photo is a serious job not only for your computer and your hands but also for your feet, brain and heart. Thank you Claudio. They are pleasure to see and great inspiration.
Igor.
