What is that big desert wash

down there? Looks like Death Valley.

It does look a lot like Death Valley. I don't know if they have a name for the area but these salt flats run to the west of Guadalupe and extend for about 60 miles, starting just north of Interstate 10 and ending just across the New Mexico border.
