Hay drying...

In the Polish mountains hay is dried on pieces of a young spruce stem with lateral branches. Such a stick is called "ostrewka". A picture show a series of such sticks with hay on a meadow in the Pieniny National Park. In the nationak park a hay is harvested to protect a specific flora with many species of orchids. Hay is used as food for cattle, sheep and horses
